e-volve Marks World Environment Day 2025

Every year on 5th June, we celebrate World Environment Day — a global event established by the United Nations in 1972 to raise awareness and inspire action for the protection of our planet. It serves as a powerful reminder that we all have a role to play in preserving the environment for future generations.

This year’s theme, “Ending Plastic Pollution,” is a critical call to action. Plastic pollution has reached alarming levels, affecting our oceans, land, wildlife, and even our health. At e-volve, we stand firmly behind this global movement and continue to take meaningful steps to reduce our environmental footprint, including how we manage and procure technology sustainably.

At the heart of our efforts lies the Pledge to the Planet, People, and Community. We are committed to empowering our employees, clients, suppliers, and partners to make informed, sustainable choices, particularly in how technology is sourced, used, and disposed of. From recommending circular IT solutions to reducing packaging waste in the supply chain, we aim to tackle plastic pollution through smarter, more responsible procurement practices.

“World Environment Day is about more than awareness — it’s about action. The call to end plastic pollution is urgent, and at e-volve, we’re proud to be part of the solution by guiding clients towards more sustainable technology pathways.”
– David Simpson, CEO, e-volve

Our internal Sustainability Committee, which brings together voices from across the business, ensures that sustainability is embedded in every aspect of what we do. We’re also proud to have maintained our Synergy membership within the HP Amplify Impact Programme for the third year running, reflecting our leadership in advancing environmental and social responsibility in tech.

“Plastic pollution doesn’t just affect the planet — it impacts communities, ecosystems, and future opportunities. At e-volve, we’re focused on reducing waste, embracing innovation, and helping others do the same. Together, we can create lasting change.”
– Martina Simpson, Sales Director, e-volve

World Environment Day is not just a calendar event; it’s a global rallying point. At e-volve, we remain committed to contributing to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future. We hope our work inspires others in the technology and business sectors to join us in taking real, impactful action.
